Forcadell closed 2016 with very positive results in Office take-up, both in sales and rental, reaching the figure of 45,000 sqm, closing a number of large transactions, several of them over 5.000 sqm. These results represent a year-on-year increase of 50% compared to the take-up of 2015, which was 30,000m². As for turnover, Forcadell's Office Department has also exceeded its mark by registering over €1m in 2016 (+ 69% year-on-year increase)
Forcadell currently stands at the top 5 ranking of the main broker companies in the real estate sector in Barcelona, consolidating its role as a benchmark in its sector. Manel de Bes, Director of the Office Department of the consulting firm has highlighted that "these are important and very relevant figures that confirm the excellent progress of the real estate office sector. In fact, 2015 was already a very good year and the results of 2016 also reflect years of effort and positioning."
The Office real estate sector has occupied for 2 years a prominent place both in take-up as well as in investment, where the REITs have carried out more than 50% of transactions. The sector's outlook for 2017 is extremely positive, according to Forcadell's indicators, which will be published in its semi-annual market report.
