The Basque-Venezuelan hamburger restaurant opened its 5th establishment in Barcelona, just 7 months after having opened its first Goiko Grill in the Catalan Capital.
Forcadell has advised Goiko Grill in the leasing of a 222 sqm premise located in Plaça Idelfons Cerdà in Barcelona. It is the second time the hamburger restaurant relies in the Forcadell Retail department, specifically in its Restaurant and Bars area to continue expanding the brand in the Catalan Capital. The premise is located in the ground floor of the office building Torre Generali, in Plaça Idelfons Cerdà, a few meters from the Ciutat de la Justícia, with excellent visibility due to its glazed façade.
According to Xavier Aguilar, Director of the Forcadell Retail Department, “Barcelona continues to position itself as one of the preferred destinations for european brands to consolidate their expansion plans. With this transaction, Goiko Grill which had already opened 18 establishments in 2017, opts for the Catalan Capital again with the help of Forcadell.” Xavier Aguilar assesses the location chosen by the company as very positive “due to the presence of office buildings in the Plaça Idelfons Cerdà and its proximity to residential high density areas like the Passeig de la Zona Franca and the Rambla Badal.”
Goiko Grill is a fusion Basque-Venezuelan chain of hamburger restaurants founded in 2013 by Andoni Goicoechea, a young entrepreneur and doctor by training who decided to leave the medical profession to open a restaurant. Currently there are 44 Goiko Grills in Spain with this last one opened in Barcelona, 19 of them in Madrid, which was the city in which they first started and was initially known for the quality of their product and its nice and casual atmosphere. In its growth plan for 2018, they have planned to open up to 27 more establishments. In their eagerness to offer something different in every restaurant, every Goiko Grill has a unique hamburger, only available in that restaurant and created by its team.
